This was started by an article in the NY Times about a recipe on a web site called, "The Bacon Explosion". My friend, Russell (seen in one of the pictures below cooking bacon) sent this to us in shock calling this a symbol of what America now is. Out of amusement, I decided we would try this at our upcoming Superbowl party. After Daniel and Brian (who were hosting the party) threatened to shut off access to the bathrooms should this be attempted, I, resolved now to succeed in this endeavor, decided to proceed anyways. Luckily, they did not follow through on their threats. The following is the story of our deeds...
"The evil Dr. Atkins has created an unstoppable monster. Mild mannered Clark Kent notices a massive bacon log of destruction heading right towards unsuspecting arteries. This looks like a job for Superman!
Sadly, Superman was no match for the Artery Gooey Kablooie and the evil Dr. Atkins now holds world in his greasy clutches."
